EO Derivatives - Alkoxylates
INEOS Oxide's total alkoxylation capacity is about 130 ktpa, having commissioned a third alkoxylation unit of 70 ktpa capacity in 2001 and a fourth in 2004 adding 10 ktpa.
A wide range of alkoxylates, with varying types of alcohol and varying proportions of ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide, are made on these assets. Production flexibilities permit INEOS Oxide to offer anything from niche batch-produced chemicals to high volume performance chemicals produced via semi-continuous processes.
Refinement of our process technologies has enabled us to produce very high quality products, with low residual catalyst and impurity levels; setting the pace for the rest of the market.
Besides the standard product portfolio, an extensive range of tailor-made molecules are manufactured to specific customer requirements for high value, niche applications.
Applications
INEOS Oxide's alkoxylates are used in a wide range of applications: including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, surfactants for detergents/shampoos, industrial cleaners, oil and gas processing, construction chemicals, superabsorbants and synthetic lubricants.
