A genuine fascination and drive to solve problems better, faster, more ingeniously than before
INEOS Oxide has two Technical Service and R&D teams; one located on our Antwerp site where the emphasis is on improving existing EO/EO-derivative processes and the development of new products and the other located on our Freeport Texas site which is focussed on product and technology advancements for our GAS/SPEC™ products.
In addition to supporting analytical/quality initiatives and plant trouble-shooting for the production sites in Antwerp (Belgium), Lavéra (France), Köln (Germany) and Plaquemine (USA, Louisiana), both Technical Service and R&D teams have a strong track record of providing ingenious solutions, driven by immediate and medium-term business targets, in response to specific customer requirements.
INEOS Oxide’s Technical Service and R&D teams feature some of the world’s leading experts in their field of technology. These experts manage state-of-the-art laboratories, simulators and pilot plants; undertaking research collaboration with our customers and in co-operation with leading university research institutes.
These teams have a genuine fascination and drive to solve problems better, faster, more ingeniously than ever before; under-pinning a superior service for customers and in so-doing ensuring INEOS Oxide achieves organic growth in all its sectors.
One of INEOS Oxide's major strengths is the ability to offer EO-derivatives developed in close collaboration with our customers. Fine-tuning of these chemistries is done to meet the customer's needs in their specific applications. Scale-up capabilities are reliable and fast.
INEOS Oxide has also developed novel norbornenes. The main uses of these innovative molecules are in a new class of high performance plastics, known as cyclic olefin copolymers. Rapidly emerging applications for these new chemicals also include new types of EPDM rubbers and flavours/fragrances intermediates.
