Novel Norbornenes
INEOS conducts an extensive research programme on the development of novel norbornenes.
The main use of these products is in a new class of high performance plastics, known as cyclic olefin (co)-polymers, for the electronic and optical industries. The application of these new chemicals also extends into new types of EPDM rubbers, agrochemicals and fragrance and pharmaceutical intermediates.
